Richard Collect
Richard Erwin Sammlung (* 1960 in Heidelberg ) is a German actor .
Live and act
Collector studied music and theater in Hildesheim , then directing in Aix-en-Provence and method acting in Rome . During the 1980s, he performed in theaters in France and Hildesheim . From 1989 he worked with the theater director Giorgio Barberio Corsetti in Rome and got to know the actress Susan Strasberg , who helped him to his first film lead role in Il Piacere delle Carni . During the 1990s, he lived in Paris and played various film, theater and television roles in various countries. In 1998 he appeared in the film Taxi as the leader of a German bank robber gang. After the turn of the millennium, he was able to further increase his level of awareness with international large-scale productions: He embodied the terrorist Adolph Gettler in Casino Royale and the German sergeant Werner Rachtman in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds .
Since 2007 he has lived in Berlin .
