The Deadly Wasp's Nest (OT: Nid de guêpes ) is a French action thriller from 2002, directed by Florent Emilio Siri .
action
It is July 14th, the national holiday in France : Abedin Nexep, the head of the Albanian Mafia , is to be tried in Strasbourg for organized trafficking in girls, torture and rape. An international police force, consisting of the French police officers Helen and Giovanni and the German SEK officer Winfried, is supposed to bring him from Colmar to Strasbourg. On the way, the group is ambushed by Abedin's men. Only the armored car with Abedin, Helen, Giovanni and Winfried can escape into the warehouse of a computer company, which in turn is currently being attacked by the petty criminals Nasser, Santino, Selim, Nadya and Martial. The two night watchmen Louis and Spitz were tied up by the gang in the boiler room. Abedin's men are now holding the hall under fire.
Selim, who thinks the approaching armored car is a police vehicle, warns his cronies who want to flee. Nasser is seriously injured in a fall. Santino comes to his friend's aid and Helen, who explains the situation, also wants to help, while Selim wants to leave Nasser behind and flee. The friends quarrel. Meanwhile, Abedin's men launch a gas attack. Helen supplies everyone with gas masks while Giovanni releases the captured guards. Together they hide in the warehouse. While Louis succeeds in removing the gas with water, and Martial disappears via a sewer to organize help, Spitz tries to surrender and is shot by Abedin's men. Martial is also killed by Abedin's men and his severed hand is delivered to the group. Giovanni is killed by Abedin.
Since the group is now expecting a major attack, Louis builds a protective wall with the containers. To gain time, Winfried and Selim want to make a breakthrough with the armored car, but both are killed. This is observed from afar by Santino's little brother Tony, who was supposed to be waiting for a call from his brother. He organizes help. Meanwhile, Abedin's men storm the hall. Helen and the others can hold the position for a long time, but when the container wall is destroyed, they have to flee into the cellar. Nasser remains behind with a gun at his own request, as he blames himself for everything. Santino gives him a four-shot gun and says goodbye to his friend. Nasser then shoots three of Abedin's men and then commits suicide . Louis locks everyone in the boiler room and sets a fire trap for the pursuers. He is killed in an exploding boiler. The police appear. Santino's brother Tony is looking for his friends in the area now occupied by police, soldiers and paramedics, but only finds Martial's body. When he was about to give up, he heard a police officer announce that there were still survivors. He finds Santino, Helen and Nadya who are being treated. The film ends with the three being transported to the hospital.

Reviews
“Noble-styled Euro action, which in its best moments is reminiscent of" Assault - attack at night ". Conclusion: Little story, but a lot of lead. "
