Mackenzie Christine Foy (born November 10, 2000 in Los Angeles ) is an American actress and model . After several smaller roles in various internationally broadcast television series, she became known in 2011 and 2012 for her participation in the film adaptations of the book Bis (s) zum Ende der Nacht . She also got the lead role in the Disney film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms . In 2014 she took part in the film Interstellar and won the Saturn Award for best young actress .

life and career

Foy, born in 2000, began her career, like many of her young fellow actors, as a child model for various print campaigns for well-known brands, companies and designers. When she was still young, she was already working for large companies such as Polo Ralph Lauren or H&M and had numerous other assignments for many very well-known companies and brands. Over time, Foy was also constantly booked for television commercials and attended, among others, in commercials for Burger King , Comcast , Pantene , BlackBerry , Childrens Hospital , TGI Friday's , Tea Time With Belledoll , Kohl's , Mattel and Rooms To Go with Cindy Crawford to see. In the latter commercial, she played the role of Cindy Crawford's daughter.

In parallel to her advertising and modeling career, Foy was also used in various television series from 2004, where she made her debut in 2004 in an episode of Strong Medicine: Two Doctors Like Fire and Ice . In 2006, she had one episode of the eighth season of Charmed and the television talk show Good Day LA appearances. After focusing primarily on her modeling career, Foy didn't return to screen until 2009 with an episode of Marriage Is .... After she was seen in one episode each of the internationally known television series FlashForward and Hawaii Five-0 in the following year, she was cast in the same year for the role of Renesmee Carlie Cullen in the fourth Twilight film adaptation. While she can only be seen briefly in a flash forward in Breaking Dawn, Part 1 , she has a bigger role in Part 2 . 2012 Foy was also for James Wan horror - thriller Conjuring - The Visitation front of the camera. In 2014 Christopher Nolan's Interstellar , Foy plays young Murphy, daughter of lead actor Cooper ( Matthew McConaughey ).

In 2016 it became known that Mackenzie Foy got the lead role as Princess Clara Stahlbaum in the Disney film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms . The film celebrated its world premiere on October 24, 2018.
