action

Ian Gray is a molecular biologist and studies the evolution of the eye. When he meets the enigmatic Sofi, they fall in love, become a couple and spontaneously want to get married. However, Sofi tragically dies when she and Ian get stuck in an elevator to their apartment.

After a period of mourning, Ian begins his research again. Seven years later he is married to his laboratory partner and is expecting a son with her. In the hospital, a doctor uses an iris scan after the birth to determine a pattern that exactly resembles that of a deceased, which should not actually be possible. Under the pretext that the child may have autistic characteristics, a scientist is testing whether it could be a reborn soul.

Further research reveals that a girl was scanned in India who had Sofi's pair of irises. Ian lets his wife persuade him to fly there and find this girl, which he succeeds after a while. He does a test with her to see if Salomina shares interests with Sofi.

However, according to the test, this is not the case and he is very disappointed. But when he wants to go into the elevator with Salomina to bring her back home, she refuses, starts screaming, crying and clings to him. Now Ian knows that the little girl Salomina is the rebirth of Sofi, his great love.
