Rick Findlater
Rick Findlater is an Australian film makeup artist and hairdresser who has worked in around 30 film and television productions since his career began in the late 1990s. At the Oscar ceremony in 2013 , he was for his work on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with Peter Swords King and Tami Lane for the Oscar in the category Best makeup and hairstyles best was nominated. Findlater and King were nominated for a British Academy Film Award in the category Best Mask for this film in 2013, along with Richard Taylor . In 2014 , Findlater, King and Taylor were nominated for another British Academy Film Award for their work on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug .
In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
