Naomi Grossman (born February 6, 1975 in Denver , Colorado ) is an American actress , screenwriter and producer , best known for her role as Pepper in two seasons of the television series American Horror Story .

Life

Grossman was born in Denver , Colorado and from a young age appeared occasionally in smaller urban theaters. At Northwestern University in Illinois she obtained a degree in theater arts . As a young adult in Los Angeles , she joined The Groundlings , a group of comedians whose goal was to make it to television on Saturday Night Live . However, after this could not be realized and she separated from the group, she began to teach Spanish and distanced herself from acting for a few years. Today she is writing and producing plays and skits again and is also in demand as an actress for short films.
