The 43rd Saturn Award ceremony took place on June 28, 2017 in Burbank , California . A significant change was the introduction of a new category: Best Animated Series . The nominations were announced live on March 2, 2017 by the actors Clare Kramer , Greg Grunberg , Violett Beane and Janina Gavankar .
In the film sector, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story received the most mentions with 11 nominations, followed by BFG - Big Friendly Giant and Doctor Strange with ten each and The First Avenger: Civil War with eight.
