Neel Sethi (born December 22, 2003 in New York ) is an American child actor .

life and career

Neel Sethi was born on December 22, 2003 to Indian parents in New York. The child actor received his first film role in Diwali , a short film from 2013. On July 15, 2014, after an extensive search in New Zealand , Canada , India , the United Kingdom and the USA, he was given by director Jon Favreau and casting director Sarah Finn starred in The Jungle Book , making his first role in a feature film. The remake of the classic Disney cartoon The Jungle Book(1967) is a mix of animated and live action feature film. Sethi plays Mowgli in the film and is the only actor who can actually be seen in the film, along with Ritesh Rajan, who plays his father. The film premiered on April 4, 2016. After finally finding the right cast for Mowgli, Favreau said: “Neel has tremendous talent and charisma. A lot rests on his little shoulders, but I'm confident that he can handle it. "
