Felicity Jones
Felicity Rose Hadley Jones (born October 17, 1983 in Birmingham ) is a British actress .
Life
Felicity Jones grew up in Bournville, Birmingham. Her father was a journalist, her mother worked in the advertising business. Her parents separated when Jones was three years old. She and her brother grew up with their mother. She later attended Kings Norton Girls School in Birmingham. She then did her A-Levels at King Edward VI Handsworth School . After a one-year hiatus, she began to study English at Wadham College , Oxford . During her studies, she appeared in various plays, often taking the lead role.
After roles in British television series , Jones made her international breakthrough with her lead role in 2011 US drama Like Crazy , for which she received the Newcomer Prize of the Hollywood Film Awards and the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival . The New York Film Critics Circle and National Board of Review awards also followed .
Jones was responsible for the Oscar in 2015 as best actress for representing the first Wife Stephen Hawking , Jane Hawking , in the movie The Theory of Everything nominated.
2016 she played the female lead in the film adaptations Inferno alongside Tom Hanks . She also starred in the Star Wars - a spin-off film Rogue One: A Star Wars story , the main role of the rebel Jyn Erso .
Private
Jones has been married to British filmmaker Charles Guard since 2018.
