Flashbacks of a Fool is a British film drama from the year 2008 . Directed by Baillie Walsh , who also wrote the script.

British actor Joe Scot works in the United States. His career has been in crisis since he turned 40. Except for his housekeeper Ophelia Franklin, no one is close to him.
Before going to an English town for his friend's funeral, Scot remembers his early years, which is shown as a flashback .
Reviews
Jonathan Trout wrote on April 14, 2008 for the BBC that the film offers some dramatic highlights, but suffers from the fact that one cannot like the main character. Trout praised the "skillful" camera work and the "strong" actors, who would, however, lose out against the "unbalanced structure" .
