Alfie Evan James Allen (born September 12, 1986 in Hammersmith , London ) is a British actor . He became famous for his role as Theon Greyjoy in the TV series Game of Thrones .

Life

Alfie Allen grew up as the son of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen . His older sister is the pop singer Lily Allen , who dedicated the song Alfie to him on her debut album Alright, Still . He made his acting debut at the age of two in a commercial for the television series The Comic Strip Presents… . Alfie Allen was considered difficult in his youth and was expelled from several London schools. He was diagnosed with attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder and was one of the first teenagers in the UK to be treated with Ritalin , according to the Daily Mail . When he was 12, he was placed in boot camp in Fort Lauderdale , Florida . He later described this as a turning point in his life. He then attended St John's College in Southsea , Hampshire , but was also expelled from that school. He eventually graduated from Fine Arts College in Hampstead.

His first actual acting role followed in 1998 in the period film Elizabeth . After a few supporting roles, including Agent Cody Banks 2: Mission London and Atonement , he took on Daniel Radcliffe's role in the play Equus . Allen played from 2011 to 2019 the role of Theon Greyjoy (Theon Greyjoy in English) in the HBO series Game of Thrones , based on the novel series A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin is based, which made him internationally known. Allen has already made a few appearances in films, including in the 2010 drama SoulBoy , which deals with the Northern Soul scene.
