Stuart Craig

Stuart Craig (born April 14, 1942 ) is a British production designer .

Stuart Craig grew up in Norwich . While studying art in the 1960s, he designed his first production sets for film students. During this production he worked as an errand boy for the British film studio that produced Casino Royale and stayed there in the artistic department for twelve years. For Richard Attenborough's Die Brücke von Arnhem , he was the chief set designer for the first time. He had his international breakthrough in 1980 with David Lynch's The Elephant Man . He received a total of three Oscars for his work. In total, he was also 12 times for the British BAFTA Awardnominated and received this award twice in the category Best Production Design . Since the first Harry Potter film adaptation, he has been the chief designer of all Potter films.
