ADG Lifetime Achievement Award

The ADG Lifetime Achievement Award is presented by the Art Directors Guild for the life's work of production designers . The award ceremony takes place annually as part of the ADG Awards (Excellence in Production Design Awards). At this award ceremony, the ADG (IATSE Local 800) union has been honoring the best production designers of the previous year since 1997. Robert F. Boyle received the first Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997 for 1996.

Since the 19th award ceremony, which was held on January 31, 2015 for the year 2014, four artists have been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award annually , which means that each of the four branches of the union (Art Directors; Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists; Illustrators and Matte Artists; Set Designers and Model Makers) is represented with a prize winner.
