Jeannine Claudia Oppewall (born November 28, 1946 in Whitinsville near Uxbridge , Massachusetts , United States ) is an American film architect .

Life

Jeannine C. Oppewall had attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan and studied medieval history at Bryn Mawr College in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania . Oppewall received her professional training from the artist and documentarist Charles Eames , for whom she worked as a curator for eight years and whose museum exhibitions she organized. She later began to work independently and found employment as an outfitter and production designer in Hollywood .

Chief architect since 1982, Jeannine Oppewall impressed above all with the creation of home-style living and living environments in quiet, cautious stories such as Music Box - The Whole Truth , Corrina, Corrina , The Bridges on the River and Pleasantville , often with a touch of nostalgia .
