history
During the renovation of St. Mary's Church in Altenstadt (Iller) under Pastor Karl Meisburger, the old north portal was rediscovered along with the remains of old paintings. Studies by the Prehistoric State Collection in Munich classified the wattle ornamentation of the portal stones as Carolingian. The chronological classification of the foundation walls of St. Century.
