Legion is an American television series directed by Noah Hawley that first aired on FX on February 8, 2017.
The series based on the comic character of David Haller, also known as Legion , who by Chris Claremont and artist Bill Sienkiewicz was created and in the X-Men - comic book series by occurs, Marvel Comics is sold. The comics were also filmed with the X-Men film series , but the series has no direct overlap with the other films in the franchise . In German-speaking countries, the first season was 24 hours after the US premiere from February 9, 2017 at the Pay TV transmitter FOX broadcast.
After six of eight episodes broadcast, FX announced on March 15, 2017 that the series had been extended by a second season, which should include a total of ten episodes, but was expanded to include an eleventh episode. This has been broadcast in the USA since April 3, 2018 and again one day later in Germany. In June 2018, FX announced that the series would be extended for a final third season. It was broadcast in 2019 and brought the story of the character of David Haller to an end.

David Haller was diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age and has since been a patient in various psychiatric hospitals . When David meets his new fellow patient, Syd, he is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears may be real. As the son of X-Men founder Charles F. Xavier , also known as Professor X, David Haller also has mutant skills. He has suffered from mental illnesses such as multiple personality since childhood. What happens is that each of his superhero skills is controlled by a different inherent identity.
