Oliver Stritzel (born March 9, 1957 in West Berlin ) is a German actor and voice actor .

life and career

Oliver Stritzel was initially a theater actor at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin and the Städtisches Theater Bonn . He began his film career in Wolfgang Petersen's Das Boot . As a rural police officer Kalle Küppers on police call 110 of the WDR , he became known to a broad television audience. For episode 1A Landeier… Oliver Stritzel received the Adolf Grimme Prize in 1996 (together with Dirk Salomon , Thomas Wesskamp and Martin Lindow ).

In addition, Stritzel lent his voice several times as a voice actor, including Philip Seymour Hoffman , Dwayne Johnson , Michael Wincott , Bruce Greenwood , Kevin Bacon and Josh Brolin . He also dubbed Sean Penn in Dead Man Walking , Mickey Rourke in Spun , Hugo Weaving in V for Vendetta and Cloud Atlas , JK Simmons in Whiplash and Idris Elba in Pacific Rim as well as in the popular British crime series Luther, which was awarded the Golden Globe ( 2010-2013). In the animated film Zoomania he dubbed Chief Bogo, who was voiced by Idris Elba in the original version. He speaks Manu Bennett (Crixus / Allanon) in the TV series Spartacus and The Shannara Chronicles . At the Karl May Games in Bad Segeberg he played the role of Cornel Brinkley in Der Schatz im Silbersee in the 2016 season .

Stritzel lives in Berlin.
