action

Karin is in her late 30s, works in a Globus factory and sings in a band with some friends and colleagues. She is the single mother of twelve year old Maike and four year old Paul. She has had rather bad experiences with men: the children come from different fathers, and both relationships did not last long. On Karin's 40th birthday, her friends place a personal ad in her place and hand her the letters. After initial hesitation, she finally meets up with Andreas, the author of the least meaningful answer. In fact, they get closer and more meetings follow.

Andreas is very attractive and much younger than Karin (which she doubts again and again in the following years), but does not tell her that he is serving a prison sentence and can only meet her during his exemptions from prison. Actually, he is only looking for a temporary place to stay while passing through to Mexico. But he doesn't have to tell Karin about that.

During an outing, the couple happened to meet a priest who also looked after the inmates of the detention center. As a result, he finds out that Andreas is not using his time off as agreed to look for work for the time after his early dismissal. She learns the truth about Andreas from her boss, who is also drawn to Karin and lets her know. She then visits him in prison and ends the relationship. However, he assures her that he loves her and asks her to give him a chance.

They are reconciled a little later through the mediation of the pastor.

Karin introduces Andreas to her children and learns that he was recently released and now hopes to be able to live with her. She initially refuses this, also because her daughter shows a strong dislike for Andreas (as well as all of Karin's previous male acquaintances). Little Paul, on the other hand, fell in love with Andreas immediately and everyone agreed on a compromise: Andreas was allowed to stay until Maike came back from a training camp in two weeks.

Andreas tells Karin about his dream of going to Mexico and working in a friend's diving school .

Reviews

"Conventional (television) comedy that once again conjures up the power of emotions."

“Director Karola Hattop [...] again delivers routine work with good actors, which cleverly alternates between drama and comedy. The Danish character actor Kristian Kiehling is convincing in the role of the free-lance Andreas "

production

It was shot at Drei Gleichen too beautiful for me . The romance premiered on August 1, 2007 and has been repeated several times.
