Dorian Harewood

Willie Dorian Harewood (born August 6, 1950 in Dayton , Ohio ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life and accomplishments

Harewood made his actor debut in the mid-1970s. In 1982 he played one of the bigger roles alongside James Brolin in the film drama Ambush Murderer . In 1989, he appeared on the side of Whoopi Goldberg in the film drama Sarah's Big Game . He starred in the 1990 thriller Stranger Shadows alongside Melanie Griffith , Matthew Modine and Michael Keaton . He won an NAACP Image Award in 1994 for his role in the television series I'll Fly Away .

In 1994 he played one of the leading roles in the television series Viper and acted in the fourth episode of the sixth season of Stargate - Kommando SG-1 . He was nominated for an Emmy Award in 1995 for his speaking role in the documentary Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream and again for an NAACP Image Award in 2000 for his role in the television series The Hoop Life . In the biography Hendrix about the rock musician Jimi Hendrix he played one of the bigger roles on the side of Billy Zane . In the horror film Gothika he appeared next to Halle Berry , Robert Downey junior and Penélope Cruz .
