action

The friends Stu Sheridan, Tommy Devane and Gus Gruber organize a yacht tour every year. This time you're heading for Bermuda , Sheridan invites his fiancée Julia Lee over. Devane and crew member Charlotte Duval find that they both suffer from similar nightmares as each other.

Lee wants to return, but she is not listened to. The yacht's engine and radio break down. The friends find the abandoned Queen of Scots , a cruise ship that has been lost for 60 years. They decide to board the ship to get tools to repair the yacht . When ghosts and the like happen to the group, they decide to leave the ship. But the yacht has mysteriously disappeared and only the small dinghy , a rubber dinghy , lies in front of the ship. So it is decided to stay on the Queen of Scotts and wait for rescue.

The group tries to restart the old ship's engines and radio , while Sheridan is asked by ghost voices to get hold of the treasures on board. In the treasurer's office he finds the key to the ship's safe, he puts it in his pocket and, as if by magic, the correct number combination is set and the safe opens. Meanwhile, Gus Gruber, who has a heart condition, sees a ghost apparition in one of the cabins: a little boy, who thinks it is his brother who died years ago, asks him to help him. With no apparent cause, an armchair slides in front of the door of the cabin . Gus then dies of heart failure caused by the shock . Sheridan's fiancée Julia Lee finds the body and runs to him. She wants him to forget the money and to get off the ship as quickly as possible.

The ghost voices then order Sheridan to kill his fiancée. He kills her with a cricket bat. Now he decides to kill everyone on board. He looks for the yacht captain Morgan in the engine room and shoots him down. However, he is still alive and can warn Tommy Devane, who arrives shortly afterwards; then he succumbs to his gunshot wound. Tommy and Charlotte are able to push the mad Stu Sheridan over the ship's planks, where he gets tangled in a rope and hangs himself. The only surviving Tommy and Charlotte sabotage the ship by causing the gasoline to run out on deck. Now they get on the dinghy and row away.

The ship picks up speed on the dinghy as if steered by ghosts. With a flare that Tommy shoots at the ship, he can detonate the spilled gasoline and the ship sinks quickly. The next day they are found by the navy and are lovers. At the end of the film, the viewer learns from a news anchor that her yacht has been missing for four years.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films said about Caught in the Bermuda Triangle : “Horror film with billowing banks of fog and bad premonitions, which only fulfills the (television) specifications of the genre. Without any highlights, a ridiculous book with bad actors is implemented, so that only the involuntary comedy provides a little entertainment. "

In the TV feature film, the dialogues are referred to as "boring brackish water ". The editors claim that only people with chronic masochism should watch this film.

The verdict of the TV Today editorial team was similarly bad. She said: "The dialogues are as stale as brackish water, and the thriller doesn't capture you either." "Let the film sink into the triangle!"
