Christopher "Chris" Eugene O'Donnell (born June 26, 1970 in Winnetka , Illinois ) is an American actor .

Life

Chris O'Donnell was born the youngest son of an extended family. O'Donnell had his first contact with show business at the age of 13 through working as a model . Another step in his career were his first commercials, including an appearance in a spot for McDonald’s . In 1990 he made a name for himself in Hollywood with his first role in Crazy Times . In the next few years, O'Donnell took part in a number of major Hollywood productions such as The Scent of Women by Al Pacino and the John Grisham film adaptation of The Chamber . Meanwhile, O'Donnell studied economics in Boston. It was there that he met his current wife.

In 1995 he played alongside Val Kilmer as Batman in the role of Robin in the third Batman film Batman Forever . The film was hugely successful and was followed by Batman & Robin . After filming, he took time off to devote himself to his family. On April 19, 1997, he married Caroline Fentress, with whom he has five children, three sons and two daughters. His break from film took O'Donnell to in New York theater play, where he played a role in the play The Man Who Had All The Luck of Arthur Miller took over.

His last role so far in a film project that was also successful with critics was in the biography of the sex researcher Alfred Kinsey , Kinsey - The Truth About Sex . O'Donnell then appeared in guest roles on the US hospital series Grey's Anatomy and the sitcom Two and a Half Men .

Since September 2009 he can be seen as the leading actor in the crime series NCIS: Los Angeles on the US broadcaster CBS . This is an offshoot of the Navy CIS series , in which O'Donnell had a guest role in a backdoor pilot to introduce the new team.
