Thomas Koch (* 1958 in Lünen ) is a German author , journalist , radio presenter , musician and stage artist.

Life

Koch has been moderating WDR radio broadcasts since 1985 ( WDR 1 , WDR 2 , 1 Live and currently on WDR 5 ). From 1995 to 2005 he was a member of the team of authors " Die SchreibWaisen " and screenwriter for the sitcoms "Nikola", " Alles Atze ", " Rita's World " and " The Teacher ". Between 2008 and 2011 he was the author of the radio plays “Panikraum”, “Kleiner Eauschangriff” (WDR) as well as “Warlords” and “Ehrbare Töchter” (ARD Radiotatort). In addition, he wrote and produced the radio comedy "Good riding - bad riding" for the channel 1Live together with Michael Gantenberg and Peter Freiberg .

In 2010 he was dramaturge at the International Film School Cologne (IFS). In the same year he started a stage program in which, as an avowed ghostwriter, he presented books that didn't exist. This satire was published in 2012 as a book with the title “A man reads back!”. In 2016 his program "Ernsthaft" premiered. The book of the same name with short stories and poems was published by Lektora . In the same year he published his satirical educational guide "The winning baby - procreation, rearing, world domination" at Lappan-Verlag . Koch lives in Dortmund .

As a guitarist and singer, Koch belongs to the Dortmund band THE BUH! He also belongs to the quartet " Kumpelabend" and the ensemble of the sports satire show "Klopp does not come!" . In 2011 he put together the eleven-person ensemble for "The X-Mas Files, The Christmas Revue You Can Pack Up After" , which has been on tour every year in the run-up to Christmas since then.
