The Lektora GmbH is a Paderborn Small Press , the books by authors from the Poetry Slam - and reading stage scene published.

Publishing history

Lektora describes itself as a “poetry slam publisher from the scene for the scene”. Accordingly, the publisher's founder Karsten Strack is an active author himself and organizes workshops at schools and universities. With a wide range of activities, the publishing house is considered a hub and multiplier for the East Westphalian authoring scene. In 2012, Strack was awarded the “Kulturnadel” for his work by the city of Paderborn for influential people in the regional cultural landscape.

At Lektora, stage writers mainly publish text collections and novels. In addition, academic theses on the subject of poetry slams and CDs were also published. The publisher offers a free magazine called Lektorial , in which its own and other authors are presented.
