Florian Wintels

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Florian Wintels (born June 4, 1993 in the Grafschaft Bentheim district ) is a German author and poetry slammer .

Artistic creation

Florian Wintels studied popular music and media in Paderborn . In 2009 he became active as a participant in poetry slams for the first time. He won numerous slams and the Lower Saxony-Bremen state championship in 2013, 2016 and 2017. Wintels qualified for the finals of the German-language poetry slam championship in 2013 and 2015 .

The text collection Sieben auf eine Scheiß was published in 2015 by the Paderborn Lektora publishing house . In it he published his lyrical, sometimes crude stage texts. In terms of content, the humorous basic tenor predominates, but clear tendencies that are critical of society can often be recognized.

Wintels is also the front man of the rock band Gilderoy and the guitarist of the alternative rock band t he redphones, which has existed since 2006 .

In April 2020 Wintels released his first EP alone as a solo artist. In terms of content, the four songs on the record deal with very different topics. The clearly recognizable common thread of Wintel's music draws a story of a doubting person who seeks and finds his place in life and society. His texts are at the same time a guide to attaining wealth and a blueprint for a happy life as such.
