Johannes Berger (poetry slammer)

Johannes Berger (born June 23, 1994 in Istanbul ) is a German author, rapper and poetry slammer .

Life

Johannes Berger grew up in Berlin and Munich and studied jazz in Hanover . Since 2012 he has been a regular participant and moderator in poetry slams . His successes include winning the German-speaking U20 championship in 2014 and second place at the Lower Saxony-Bremen state championship in 2016.

In 2016 he published his book Youth Sins at Verlag Lektora . Berger's stage texts are collected in it in chronological order of their creation to show the author's artistic career and the gradual growth of the author.

Together with Philipp Potthast, Berger formed the hip-hop duo and poetry slam team, Naturally Blond. He works artistically as a rapper under the stage name Yunus .

Johannes Berger is a son of the Byzantinist Albrecht Berger .
