Life

After graduating from high school in Krefeld at Moltkeplatz , Floehr studied cultural studies at the Hagen Open University . Floehr lives and works in Hamburg .

Moderation

Floehr appears as a moderator at various literary and cultural events. In addition to poetry slams, he has already moderated the open mic , Powerpoint karaoke , reading for beer , the folklore festival and the Welcome Now festival in Theater Krefeld , the proceeds of which benefit the Krefeld refugee aid. In May 2018, he organized and moderated the North Rhine-Westphalian U20 Poetry Slam ( NRW Slam ) championships in Krefeld together with Bernard Hoffmeister . The journalist Mojo Mendiola called him "a nice chatterbox with brains and esprit, certainly a moderator with a future".

In July 2019 in Krefeld, Floehr hosted the first German "Twitter Festival" under the name "Twytter-Festiv @ l", at which artists from the German-speaking Twitter scene such as Krieg und Freitag , MC Smook , Kathrin Weßling and the Organizers Jonathan Löffelbein (with Worst of Chef ) and Fabian Navarro (with his poetry bot "Eloquentron3000") performed. The festival, which took place on two stages at the same time, was moderated by Floehr and the Viennese poet Teresa Hossa. All actors waived a fee and the entire proceeds of the event were donated to Sea-Watch . Around € 3,100 came together with 350 spectators.

On the occasion of the fire in the monkey house of the Krefeld Zoo , in which around fifty animals were killed, he and Jean-Phillippe Kindler organized a short-term benefit event at the beginning of 2020 , at which the band Provinztheater and Torsten Sträter performed, among others . For the event, they had also received criticism in the run-up to the social networks, as in addition to donations for the Krefeld Zoo they also collected money for the animal welfare association .

Literature / cabaret

Floehr has been a participant in poetry slams on German-speaking stages since 2010 . Since 2011 he has been able to qualify for the North Rhine-Westphalian NRW Slam and the German-speaking Poetry Slam Championship . In April 2016 he won the annual finale of the largest monthly poetry slam in North Rhine-Westphalia at WestStadtStory in the Weststadthalle Essen , which qualified him for the NRW slam 2016 in Bochum . There he reached the final and reached third place in the Schauspielhaus Bochum . In 2014 he also won the "Compete" award for young people's literature from the Heinrich Heine Institute for his short story Wie im Puppenhaus, which is dedicated to the topic of dementia . In 2018 he reached the semi-finals at the German-speaking slam championships in Zurich . Floehr leads regional workshops (such as the Krefeld school slam) and writing workshops ( writing table Krefeld ). In December 2016 and January 2018, he traveled to Estonia as a guest of the Foreign Office to hold slam workshops and readings. For his solo program I am exactly my humor , he received the Rostock silver cog puller in 2020 . When numerous shows were canceled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic , Floehr initially decided to regularly stream online readings on Twitch . Together with Jasmin Schreiber and Fabian Navarro , he also founded the project "Streamkultur" on Twitter , for which they collect online streams from cultural workers.

His first text collection with the title Book appeared in the Paderborn Lektora publishing house in early 2018 . Coolibri wrote that the book made "a desire for more texts, rhymes and fresh thoughts from the young Krefeld native." His second book Dialoge was published in 2019 , it mainly contains short texts published by Floehr on Twitter , mainly dialogues within 280 characters. Linus Volkmann wrote for the Musikexpress that Dialoge is "more than an alibi book with a charm for secondary use", but "much more a cutting-edge joke book for the Meme generation."

Some of his works have appeared in various literary and satirical magazines, including regularly in titanic . In addition, Floehr also works as an author for various formats at funk .

His mostly humorous texts take up political and social issues and often contain Dadaist elements and language games.
