The Rostocker Koggenzieher is a German cabaret prize that has been awarded annually in Rostock since 2005 as part of a competition .

The competition to win the cog puller, the only award for cabaret artists in northeast Germany, will be held in Stage 602, a venue with around 120 seats in Rostock's city harbor . The local daily newspaper Ostsee-Zeitung (OZ), the theater ensemble Compagnie de Comédie , the cabaret stages ROhrSTOCK , Kabarett Dietrich & Raab and the Quartet d'amour are the organizersunited. The Rostock Office for Culture and Monument Preservation supports the organizers. All representatives of political-satirical cabaret and comedy forms from Germany and abroad are allowed to apply. A jury of experts and the audience choose the winners. On three preliminary round evenings (Thursday to Saturday), the finalists will be selected who will fight for the Golden Cog Puller on Sunday as the last day of the competition. The winner will then appear again alone with his complete program on Monday. The award comes with prize money: in gold with three times 602 euros, in silver with two times 602 euros and bronze with one time 602 euros. The audience award with a half times 602 euros endowed .
