Vocal Recall is a vocal ensemble from Berlin , consisting of Alice Köfer (vocals), Dieter Behrens (vocals), Bernhard Leube (vocals) and Martin Rosengarten (piano, keyboard, loops).
Members
Alice Köfer (* 1976 in Potsdam) is a jazz singer , actress and singing lecturer at the University of Potsdam . In addition to engagements in Friedrichstadt-Palast , she worked with Pigor & Eichhorn and the Andrej Hermlin Swing and Dance Orchestra.
Dieter Behrens (* 1980 in Hamburg) is a biologist with a classical music education. He was active as a poet at poetry slams and is a member of the Monteverdi Choir Hamburg .
Bernhard Leube (* 1970 in Berlin) is an opera singer. His engagements led him to a. to the opera houses in Leipzig, Mannheim, Rostock and Stralsund. He is a member of the Bayreuth Festival Choir .
Martin Rosengarten (* 1967 in Berlin) is a pianist, composer and arranger. He worked u. a. with Martina Brandl , Tim Fischer and Eckart von Hirschhausen together.
Vocal Recall also works regularly with the pianists Matthias Behrsing and Falk Effenberger .
style
Vocal Recall interpret well-known songs from music history and alienate them musically and in terms of content by means of new texts that show phonetic parallels to the original in German.
The movement singing in the unusual constellation with only two singers and one female singer and the addition of grooves and samples to the piano accompaniment set their style apart from many other ensembles in the cabaret and a cappella scene.
