FAN Television was a regional television broadcaster for Lower Saxony and Bremen based in the Medienpark Nord in Dörverden . The primary distribution took place in the whole of Lower Saxony via digital cable, partly analogue and in the state of Bremen via digital cable. In addition to traditional cable broadcasting, the station could also be received as a live stream on the Internet. In addition, FAN Television used around 20 media libraries to enable all content to be accessed individually using the video-on-demand process. The company employed 22 people (full-time, as of 11/2011). FAN Television received the broadcast license from the Lower Saxony State Media Authority . FAN Television broadcasts on Kabel Deutschland's network, depending on the region, on channels S17 and S18 (analog) as well as S03 and S32 (digital). The technical accessibility was 4.5 million viewers.

Since 2011, it has been possible to operate commercial, local radio stations in Lower Saxony, subject to compliance with specific criteria.

FAN Television started broadcasting on November 1, 2011. FAN Television produced two hours of programming a day, which was broadcast twelve times during the day. FAN Television emphasized the claim to want to establish regional television in new dimensions. This was made possible in particular through the use of virtual studios, in which digital computer television sets were generated in 3D live and in real time. The total technical service provider and studio operator of FAN Television was the television production company Weconda. Around 3.5 million euros were invested in broadcasting.

The main shareholders of FAN Television were Kay Zimmer and Georg Max Mahn with 48% each. The journalist Mahn was the managing director and editor-in-chief.

FAN Television ceased broadcasting on November 1, 2013.
