Nikita Miller

Nikita Miller (* 1987 in Temirtau , Kazakhstan ) is a German-Russian comedian , author and cartoonist .

Life

Nikita Miller moved with his parents and sister from Kazakhstan to Germany in the early 1990s.

After graduating from secondary school, he had various jobs. In order to find out what to do with himself, he began to systematically limit his options through a practical process of elimination. This ended up with Miller having "more jobs than Charles Bukowski ". But he also expanded his job list many times over in order to be able to finance his high school diploma and studies. Among other things, he worked as a pizza and newspaper supplier, bouncer, band worker, media designer and software developer, achieved success as a martial artist and sold jewelry from the trunk.

2009 Miller began his studies for media computer science at the Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart , which he with the Bachelor of Science graduated. Half a year later he began studying philosophy and general rhetoric at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen .

Miller spends his free time writing philosophical and socially critical comics and short stories, which he makes freely available online.

Comedy

In 2016 Miller was discovered by cabaret artist, author and director Klaus Birk and appeared for the first time as a comedian in Tübingen under his sponsorship. This is followed by short appearances on "Nuhr ab 18", ARD, " NightWash ", WDR, and the "NDR Comedy Contest", NDR. Since then he has been a regular guest at the Quatsch Comedy Club , the House of the Springmaus in Bonn and the Rosenau in Stuttgart.

Dieter Nuhr said of him: “Nikita Miller does something I have never seen before: He tells funny stories that don't move from point to point and are therefore funny. His lecture has depth and authenticity. The lyrics move the viewer, and you listen to them with pleasure and with anticipation, yes, downright captivated. This is a completely unique form of everyday satire. I'm excited!".

He has been on tour in Germany and Switzerland since 2018 with his first full-length solo program "On the way to becoming a man".
