The Fuck Hornisschen Orchestra is a comedy music duo from Leipzig in Saxony consisting of Julius Fischer (* 1984) and Christian Meyer (* 1982). They sing together and both play different instruments - mostly children's instruments. Fischer often plays the guitar.

history

Fischer and Meyer met in 2003 at the University of Leipzig , where they both studied German and history. In April 2004 they went to a poetry slam together for the first time and presented texts individually. Her regular participation then brought her to the German-language championships in Stuttgart in the same year, where Meyer reached eleventh place and gave up his poetry slam career.

In the course of the student protests in summer 2004, they wrote their first joint play The sun burns like Hulle , a mixture of text and song in which Meyer still played the drums. The premiere and at the same time the only performance was on June 9, 2004 in the inner courtyard of Leipzig University .

In the following years, Fischer became one of the most famous and successful German-speaking slammers. In 2006 they tried each other as a poetry slam team “Klubteam Kryptonym: Farce” at the German-speaking championships in Munich, but failed with the text Motten in the preliminary round.

Their first full-length entertainment show called “Klub Kryptonym: Farce” - a game and literature show with two guests and musical interludes - took place on September 25, 2005 in Kassablanca in Jena . The program was performed irregularly until 2009, including in Hamburg, Cottbus, Leipzig and Dresden.

From 2005 to 2009, Fischer and Meyer took to the stage once a month with their own evening entertainment shows in the Ilses Erika living room club in Leipzig . From the band test show Who the fuck is…? About the literary show Klub Kryptonym: Sparce to the talent show Perlen vor die Sachsen they wrote more and more songs for the shows and at some point they realized that they were a band.

In autumn 2009 they went on tour for the first time under the name The Fuck Hornisschen Orchestra and the program vom fohlen und wäldern and played in 31 cities in 40 days. Thanks to a recommendation from their friend Nico Semsrott , they played for the first time on TV in winter 2009 as special guests at the NDR Comedy Contest , whose show band they then became for three seasons (until 2012). TV appearances followed a. a. at NightWash , at WDR , at ZDFneo and Einsfestival .

Their first CD of foals and forests was released in 2009. They toured Germany and recorded a DVD in the Dresden barn with the title nach glanztrachten (2011). The program nach Glanz Trachten is a further development of vom Fohlen und wälden and almost half consists of songs from the previous program.

In 2011 they were nominated for the Prix Pantheon . During a creative stay at Villa Concordia in Bamberg in 2012 they completed their new program Hope 3000 , which was released on CD in September 2012 and was accompanied by a major tour. This was followed by the stage programs Fohlenglanz 3000 and in 2015 Palmen .

Since September 2014 they have their own TV show called Comedy with Karsten on Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR).
