Ace major

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ass-Dur is a German music, cabaret / comedy duo from Berlin .

The duo

It consists of Dominik Wagner (born November 11, 1985 in Munich ) and Benedikt Zeitner (born June 22, 1983 in Krefeld ), both of whom have received several awards from Jugend musiziert and met at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. Their program consists of piano music, singing, classical music and pop music from different styles, paired with dialogues that combine “highly intellectual cabaret” (Benedikt) with “less intellectual cabaret” (Dominik). The name "Ass-Major" is a linguistic combination of the key of A-flat major with the playing card Ace and alludes to the fact that the cabaret program of Ace major originally included many magic tricks in addition to music. In October 2019, the duo announced their split. Benedikt Zeitner wants to devote himself more to his therapeutic calling and acting. Dominik Wagner will continue with his brother Florian Ass-Dur or reinvent completely.
