Jasmin Schreiber (* 1988 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author and writer .

Life

After graduating from the Lessing-Gymnasium in Frankfurt , Schreiber studied biology in Marburg and Vienna . She graduated in 2012 with a specialization in zoology . As a freelance writer, she has already written for various television formats, newspapers and radio stations. In addition to her work as a writer, she is also active as a communication expert. In 2019 she received the “Blogger of the Year” award for her blog Die üben , in which she writes about her work as a death and grief counselor.

Her debut novel Marianengraben followed the following year at Eichborn Verlag . There, too, death, grief and fear of loss are thematized, according to his own statement it is a book about love for siblings. The first edition of 10,000 copies was sold out before it even appeared. The book entered the bestseller list at number 13 in early March 2020. In the wake of the corona pandemic , Schreiber canceled many readings, so she decided to conduct online readings. In addition, together with Johannes Floehr and Fabian Navarro , she founded the project "Streamkultur" on Twitter , where they collect links to online streams from cultural workers.
