Wagner Maniçoba de Moura (born June 27, 1976 in Salvador ) is a Brazilian film, television and theater actor and director.

Life

He studied journalism at the Universidade Federal da Bahia , but then decided to pursue an acting career. He had his breakthrough in 2007 with the lead role in the drama Tropa de Elite . Since the 2010s, Moura has increasingly appeared in international productions. In 2015 he starred as Pablo Escobar in the Netflix series Narcos . In 2019 he made his directorial debut with the film Marighella .
