Neil Cross

Neil Cross (born February 9, 1969 in Bristol , England ) is a Booker Prize nominated writer and screenwriter who was born and raised in the United Kingdom and currently lives in Wellington , New Zealand .

Life

Cross was born in Bristol and raised in Edinburgh with his mother and stepfather. After the two separated, he moved back to Bristol and attended the Brislington Comprehensive School. He later went to the University of Leeds before entering the publishing industry. In 2002 he moved to Wellington with his family. He continues to write, among other things he is the lead author of the BBC television series Spooks - In the sights of MI5 and the creator of the series Luther with Idris Elba .

He was involved in the script of the 2013 horror film Mama .
