Paris-born cello player Gerard Huxley, who works as a music teacher in New York, is driving his car in North Dakota on a trip to a music symposium in Seattle . He was easily injured in a traffic accident and met the beautiful nurse Megan Denright in the hospital. When Megan invites him to visit her house, he happily agrees.
Gerard falls in love with Megan and continues his journey to Seattle with her and her somewhat crazy-looking sister Dominique.
During the trip, the three get into dangerous situations several times, from which the trio can escape, but which end fatally for the other participants.
