Connie Nielsen
Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen (* 3. July 1965 in Frederikshavn , Denmark ) is a mainly in the United States operating Danish actress .
life and career
When Nielsen was ten years old, her family moved to a small village called Elling near Frederikshavn. At the age of 15 she made her first acting experiences in a cabaret . She has a dance and singing education and speaks fluent German, English, Swedish, French and Italian.
At the age of 18, Nielsen moved to Paris and later lived in Rome , Milan , South Africa and New York City , eventually buying a house in Italy . At this time she played in several movies, but her breakthrough came in 1997 with In Order of the Devil . This was followed by major roles in Mission to Mars and Gladiator (both 2000).
Since her breakthrough, Nielsen has been a popular actress in American series. She had u. a. Guest appearances in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , Good Wife and Boss . Since 2014 she has been one of the main characters in The Following series along with Kevin Bacon , James Purefoy and Shawn Ashmore .
Personal
Nielsen now lives in New York City with her son. For several years she was in a relationship with Lars Ulrich , the Danish drummer of the heavy metal band Metallica . On May 21, 2007, Nielsen gave birth to a son in San Francisco .
