George Harris (actor)
George Harris (born October 20, 1949 in Grenada ) is a British actor (film, stage and musical).
Career
His parents are of African-American descent and moved away when George was a baby due to the Civil War. He grew up in Barbados , his father's homeland , until the age of 15 . He then lived in Great Britain and temporarily in Sweden and Israel. He performed across Europe and the US before embarking on a film career in England. He has worked in the Royal National Theater , Royal Court Theater and other stages such as the Royal Exchange in Manchester and the Theater Royal in Bath . In Israel he played in the musical Hair . Perhaps his best-known film is Layer Cake , in which he plays the dealer Morty.
