Starhunter (later Starhunter 2300 ) is a Canadian science fiction television series produced from 2000 to 2004 . In the second season, which is called Starhunter 2300 , most of the actors were changed.

action

Set in the late 23rd century in the Sol solar system, the series revolves around a group of bounty hunters trying to make a living from a dilapidated, discarded luxury spaceship liner called the Tulip.

In the first season, the Tulip belongs to Rudolpho Deluna, who hired Dante Montana as a bounty hunter and sends him on missions. Montana contests this together with his crew, which consists of his niece Percy, the weapons expert Luc and the hologram Caravaggio. Montana uses space travel to find the so-called "raiders" (the murderers of his wife) and his kidnapped son. Luc is also driving a second cause, she is supposed to collect information about rare extraterrestrial genes in human DNA , called "Divinity Cluster", on behalf of a secret organization of scientists called "The Orchard" .

The second season plays 15 years further in the future. Only Percy Montana remains of the original crew. Deluna, who no longer owns the Tulip, hires Larkadia together with his partner Callista. Travis Montana (Dante's son) and his partner Marcus Fagen also join the team.

criticism

On www.tv-kult.com

  • “[…] Especially the role of niece Percy […] gets on my nerves very quickly […] In the second episode at the latest, the point is reached when you just want to kick this figure in the butt in the hope that the bumps will hit your brain penetrate to finally activate it. […] Even the voice from the off, which conveys the captain's thoughts and constantly proclaims that he wants to find Travis, gets on the backside at some point […] There are plenty of logic errors […] Conclusion: […] Well worth seeing, if you can endure characters like the exhausting Percy and have open questions "
