Tim Burke (* 1965 in Newcastle upon Tyne , England ) is an English specialist in visual effects .

life and work

Growing up in Newcastle, England, Tim Burke became interested in painting at an early age. Also it influenced Ray Harryhausen's stop-motion - animation . He then studied graphic design in England and later animation at the Norwich School of Art and Design . During his studies, he made his first experiences with computer-aided 3D modeling and animation, a technology that was still young at the time, in the mid-1980s.

Burke's first job after graduation was in London at Cal Video Graphics . There he was responsible for creating computer-generated commercials. This was followed by a job at Mill Film in London .

At the beginning of the 2000s, Burke moved to the London effects company Double Negative and was, among other things, significantly involved in all Harry Potter films except the first as a visual effects supervisor .
