Adina Porter
Adina Elizabeth Porter (born March 13, 1971 in New York City ) is an Emmy-nominated American actress .
Life
Adina Porter grew up in New York City and graduated from Purchase University . Since childhood she had the desire to become an actress, which is why she took dance and acting lessons at an early age, in which she was supervised by Butterfly McQueen , a well-known dancer and actress from Gone With the Wind . Until his death in May 2013, she was with the dog trainer Larry Earl Madison, Jr. married. The couple had adopted two children, Jack and Jourdan.
Before she came to film, Porter appeared in several plays in regional theaters until she finally got a role for the first time in 2001 in a Broadway play, a revival of The Women first performed in 1936 .
She got her first role on television in 1990 in the crime series Law & Order , where she cast a supporting character. She has also appeared in series such as Emergency Room , Prison Break , NYPD Blue and Private Practice . As a demon-possessed alcoholic Lettie Mae Thornton , she was part of a cast for the first time in True Blood . In addition to various performances in films such as body shots or Finally, she was in the science-fiction - television series The 100 as Indra and American Horror Story can be seen in different roles. For her role as police officer Lee Harris in American Horror Story - Roanoke , she was nominated for Best TV Supporting Actress at the Saturn Awards 2017, but did not win.
