Millie Brown was born in 2004 in Marbella, Andalusia, the daughter of British real estate agent Robert Brown and his wife Kelly, the third of four children. When Brown was four, the family moved her back to the UK. There she attended elementary school in Bournemouth . In 2011 the family relocated to Orlando , Florida, in the United States for work . There, Brown attended drama workshops for children on Saturdays and quickly attracted the attention of a casting agent. The family later moved to Los Angeles , California to enable their engagements in acting. A year later she starred in her first lead role as Madison O'Donnell in the BBC America- produced series Intruders . She also made guest appearances on the series Navy CIS , Modern Family and Grey's Anatomy . Since Brown failed to get major and long-term leading roles in films and television series and the family had got into financial difficulties due to the relocation, she had to give up life in Los Angeles for financial reasons and return to the UK in the summer of 2015.

While Brown for some time lived in England again with an aunt, she was invited to an audition for the 2016 published Netflix series Stranger Things , in which they for the role of Eleven (Eleven) was involved.

Brown models for Calvin Klein and was signed to IMG Models . In the second season of Stranger Things , which was released on Netflix on October 27, 2017, she plays her role again as Eleven . The premiere took place the evening before in Los Angeles. In the three-part VR series Spheres , which was shown in full for the first time at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2018, Brown can be heard as the narrator of the first episode Chorus of the Cosmos . She made her feature film debut as Madison Russell with the science fiction film Godzilla II: King of the Monsters . Brown was also hired to star in the film adaptation of the Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series, which was written by the American author Nancy Springer, and as a producer in association with Legendary Entertainment . She is also back as Madison Russell for Godzilla vs. Kong has been occupied. On November 21, 2018, Brown was named the youngest UNICEF special envoy to date in New York City as part of World Children's Day . She has been supporting the organization since 2016.
