Rob Morgan ( 20th century ) is an American film actor best known for his role as Turk Barrett on Netflix's Marvel series Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fist , The Defenders and The Punisher .

Life

Rob Morgan took acting classes at the American Theater of Harlem. As of 2015, Morgan starred in the role of Turk Barrett in the television series Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fist , The Defenders and The Punisher . In the 2017 literary film adaptation of Dee Rees' Mudbound , he took on the role of the farmer Hap Jackson, whose wife Florence was played by Mary J. Blige .

In the by Joe Talbot directed film The Last Black Man in San Francisco , which had 2019 premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, he played Jimmie Fails ' father James Sr. In the same year presented Destin Daniel Cretton his film Just Mercy at the Toronto International Film Festival before based on a book by Bryan Stevenson in which Morgan plays the death row inmate Herbert Richardson. In May 2019 Annie Silverstein presented her film drama Bull in Cannes , in which Morgan can be seen in the lead role of the former rodeo star Abe. This was followed by engagements in the films The Photograph , Cut Throat City and the war drama Greyhound - Battle of the Atlantic , in which he can be seen alongside Tom Hanks and which premiered on July 10, 2020 on Apple TV + .

In late June 2020, Rob Morgan became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences .
