Marvel's The Punisher , also known as The Punisher , is an American television series by Steve Lightfoot , which is based on the characters from the Marvel comic strip of the same name . It plays in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is a spin-off of the Netflix series Marvel's Daredevil . The first season with 13 episodes was released on November 17, 2017 on Netflix. On December 12, 2017, it was announced that a second season had been ordered, which was released on Netflix on January 18, 2019.
In February 2019, the discontinuation of the series after two seasons was announced.

The series was dubbed by the dubbing company Berliner Synchron based on the dialogue book by Benjamin Peter . Klaus Bauschulte directed the dialogue .
