Floriana Lima

Floriana Elizabeth Lima (born March 26, 1981 in Cincinnati , Ohio ) is an American actress who became famous for the role of Maggie Sawyer from the series Supergirl .

life and career

Floriana Lima was born in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she grew up with two brothers. She is of Italian, Spanish, Irish, and English descent. She graduated from Fairfield Senior High School in 1999, after which she began studying communications at Ohio State University .

After graduation, she worked as a production assistant at WCMH-TV in Columbus for a while before moving to Los Angeles to begin an acting career. She took on her first role in 2008 with a guest appearance on the series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles . This was followed by appearances in How I Met Your Mother , Ghost Whisperer , Melrose Place , Dr. House , In Plain Sight, or Franklin & Bash . Between 2012 and 2013 she played one of the lead roles as sister Rosa Qintero in the short-lived series The Mob Doctor .

After further guest roles in Hawaii Five-0 , Psych and CSI: Vegas , Lima was seen recurring in the series Allegiance and The Family . In 2016 she took on the role of police officer Maggie Sawyer in the series Supergirl , which she played until 2017. At the beginning of 2019 she was named Dr. Krista Dumont starred in the second season of Marvel's The Punisher .

She has been in a relationship with actor Casey Affleck since 2016 .
