My Own Worst Enemy (literally my own worst enemy ) is an American television series starring Christian Slater , which premiered on October 13, 2008 on NBC . From the beginning not a particular crowd puller, the series only consists of nine episodes, as the broadcaster decided to cut the original order from 13 episodes to nine due to below-average ratings. The content is loosely based on Robert Louis Stevenson's The Curious Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde , with whom the ambivalent leading actor shares the names of his two characters, among other things. It has not yet been broadcast in German-speaking countries.

content

The series follows the life of the American secret agent Edward Albright and his cover personality, Henry Spivey, who had no knowledge of his double life. Albright was equipped with an implanted chip that enables his bosses to change his personality, to that of his cover identity, and vice versa. In the first episode, there was a malfunction that caused Albright to randomly switch personalities and cause his civilian personality to learn from his second as a secret agent. With no real other options for the two of them, they have no choice but to communicate with each other through short cell phone video messages.
