Mike Glover (boxer)

Mike Glover (* 18th December 1890 in Lawrence , USA ; † 11. July 1917 ) was an American boxer in the welterweight division .

Professional career

In 1908 Glover lost his debut match against fellow countryman Babe Cullen by unanimous decision over 4 rounds. On June 1, 1915, he defeated Matt Wells unanimously on points and thereby became universal world champion. However, Glover already lost this belt in his first title defense on the 22nd of the same month to Jack Britton on points.

Glover retired in 1916 after a unanimous point loss to Ted Kid Lewis .
