Saffron Domini Burrows (born October 22, 1972 in London ) is a British actress .

life and career

The daughter of socialist political activists was discovered as a model by a talent scout at the age of 15 and worked successfully in England and France . A few years later she turned to acting.

Burrows made his debut in the 1993 film In the Name of the Father . She got her first leading role in 1995 in Circle of Friends . Woody Allen selected her for his film Celebrity , but later fired her with the dubious compliment of "not being vulgar enough". This was followed by the computer game adaptation Wing Commander and the thriller Deep Blue Sea as well as roles in Enigma , Frida and Troja . From 2007 to 2008 she was part of the cast of the television series Boston Legal , in 2010 she replaced Kathryn Erbe on Criminal Intent for a season before Erbe returned for the final season.

Saffron Burrows was in a relationship with director Mike Figgis and actor Alan Cumming .

She has lived with producer and screenwriter Alison Balian for years ; in a registered civil partnership since August 2013 . The two raise a son together, whom Burrows gave birth in 2012. Daisy Alice Winnie was born on January 23, 2017.
