Gayatri Joshi
Gayatri Joshi (born March 20, 1977 in Mumbai ) is an Indian photo model and an actress .
Life
When she began her career in 1996 as a model in the Indian metropolis of Mumbai, she was still studying at Sydenham College. There she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in the same year .
In 1999 she was one of five national finalists in the “Femina Miss India” beauty contest. Only one year later she represented her home country at the "Miss International" show in Japan. Although she did not land on the top of the podium, she learned to move properly at these events and to cut a good figure in front of the camera.
In the following years she was seen in numerous commercials. The Hyundai commercial she shot with Shah Rukh Khan became particularly popular in Asia . In addition to her advertising engagements, she was also able to gain additional acting experience as an actress in music videos for Indian stars such as Jagjit Singh ’s Sagar or Ki Kashti .
She made her feature film debut in 2004 in the Bollywood hit Swades - Heimat , directed by director Ashutosh Gowariker .
After her wedding to Vichy Oberoi in 2005 , Gayatri Joshi ended her short acting career.
