Joshua Regnall Stewart (born February 6, 1977 in Diana , West Virginia ) is an American actor .

Career

Stewart played first roles in a theater in the small town of Sutton , West Virginia, before moving to New York City and taking acting classes. In 2000 he starred as an extra on The WB series Dawson's Creek . In the series CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators , he received his first episode role in 2004, in Criminal Minds the recurring role of Detective William LaMontagne . Also from 2004 to 2005, he played the character Officer Brendan Finney in the series Third Watch - Einsatz am Limit .

After the series Third Watch was canceled , he played in Jason Wiles ' directorial debut Lenexa, 1 Mile for the first time a role in a movie. To see he was also in the films The Curious Case of Benjamin Button , Molly Hartley - The daughter of Satan , The Collector , Law Abiding Citizen and The Death and Life of Bobby Z .

From 2007 he was seen alongside Courteney Cox in the series Dirt , until this was also discontinued. In 2010, an engagement followed as a recurring cast in the television series My Superhero Family . Stewart starred as Arkin in The Collector in 2009 and played the role again in 2012 in the sequel The Collection . He became known to a wider audience as an assistant to Banes in The Dark Knight Rises . In 2019 he took on the role of John Pilgrim in the second season of the Netflix original series The Punisher .

He has two children from his first marriage to Deanna Brigidi . He has been married to Alexa Davalos for the second time since 2019 .
